The Partners in Education program is a joint effort between the Claremore Industrial and Economic Development Authority and Rogers County public schools. The program connects children and teachers with corporate and civic leaders. These partnerships help educators improve the academic and personal growth of all children.
Our partners showcase the incredible career opportunities available in many career paths to the emerging workforce. We work to change perceptions of common careers by connecting employers with students, parents, and educators to create an understanding of the many opportunities in our community.
Key programming elements include classroom visits, internships, job shadows, educator and student tours, career fairs, collaborative training programs and an awareness campaign.
A strong workforce pipeline is imperative for the success of our future economy. By partnering area businesses and teachers, we are ensuring the skills learned in the classroom meet the region's workforce demands. These efforts include teacher job shadowing and teacher appreciation efforts through relationships developed as a part of the Partners in Education program.
In addition to career awareness, our partners support initiatives that enhance student's overall educational experience. This support includes bus costs for field trips, STEM program kits, classroom supplies, and volunteer assistance.
